For 40 years now, Specchiasol, the Verona-based SME specialized in the production and marketing of food supplements, cosmetics and herbal medicine products, has been operating with passion to combine nature, tradition and scientific research.

By combining continuous research with the most innovative production technologies, the company has managed to create safe and effective products, whilst maintaining the care and attention to detail which is typical of local businesses, selecting the very best natural raw materials.

Specchiasol currently operates in Spain, France, Greece, Portugal, Moldova, Montenegro, the Middle East, Lebanon, Eastern Europe, South Africa, Japan and China. In addition, the group has recently established a company in Russia: Specchiasol 1973.

Within the framework of the initiative “Programma 2i per l’Impresa” promoted by Cdp, SACE and EIF – which provides Italian SMEs with resources from the Juncker Plan to support their internationalization and innovation projects – SACE and Banco Popolare granted a credit line of 500 thousand Euro to support Specchiasol’s investments in research and innovation.

The loan – issued by Banco Popolare, guaranteed by SACE and counter-guaranteed by EIF – will allow Specchiasol to develop new research and innovation projects to support the company’s grow abroad, where it is recognized as a point of reference in the natural healthcare sector, precisely thanks to the innovative combination of the herbal tradition, scientific research and technological solutions.

* The loan, in the case in point, benefits from the “InnovFin” guarantee issued by the European Investments Fund (“EIF”), with the financial backing of the European Union in compliance with the Horizon 2020 programme and the European Fund for Strategic Investments (“EFSI”). The purpose of the EFSI is to help grant access to finance and implement production investments in the European Union, as well as ensure greater access to finance.
