Italy meets Turkey: new business opportunities in Turkey in the healthcare sector

SACE (CDP Group) has organized a business matching event to enable Italian companies to meet with a delegation of Turkish companies and public institutions in the healthcare sector.

The event was attended by representatives of the Turkish Health Ministry and numerous top-level Turkish private hospital groups — with an existing portfolio of over 20 hospitals and ambitious development plans — interested in acquiring Italian technology, know-how, and equipment. During the event, Italian companies already operating in the Turkish healthcare sector were able to provide first-hand testimony on existing and potential opportunities.

With the world's 16th-largest economy and stable economic growth, Turkey is a strategic market for Italy, which has seen its exports double since 2008 to around € 10 billion.

The Turkish healthcare sector is among those offering the best prospects for Made in Italy. On the occasion of the centenary of the republic in 2023, the Turkish Government is committed to a massive program of hospital infrastructure improvement, with the construction of dozens of high-tech healthcare centers throughout the country.

This business matching initiative is part of SACE Advisory program, created to provide a broad range of services tailored to SMEs looking to expand their business on emerging markets: training seminars, assistance in identifying markets and sectors with the greatest potential and concrete business opportunities, and on-site assistance through SACE International Offices Network.

Through its office in Istanbul, SACE has participated in numerous initiatives in Turkey and is always ready to take on new challenges for the future alongside companies.
