Environmental and Social Impact Assessment availability for the Almirante Tamandaré Project

SACE is considering the Almirante Tamandaré Project which consists of construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a new built spread moored Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading unit (“FPSO”), with processing capacity of 225,000 bbl/d of oil, compression of 12 million m3/d gas and 1.4 MMbbl storage capacity. The unit will be moored at a location with water depth up to 2,000 meters, around 170 km from the coast of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro States and will be used to develop Búzios field, located in Santos Basin, operated by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras). Buzios field is included in the general permitting process of the Stage 3 of the Santos Basin Pre-Salt; the related Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Report and Non-Technical Executive Summary (NTS) report are available in Portuguese at the following links:
