Environmental and Social Impact Assessment availability for the 'Alexandre de Gusmão' Project

SACE is considering support for 'Alexandre de Gusmão' Project which consists of the construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a new built spread moored Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading unit (“FPSO”), with processing capacity of 180,000 bbl/d of oil, compression of 12 million m3/d gas and 1.4 MMbbl storage capacity as a minimum. The unit will be moored at a location with water depth up to 1,900 meters, around 160 km from Arraial do Cabo coast, Rio de Janeiro state, and will be used to develop Mero-4 field, located in the Libra block, within Santos Basin operated by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras). Mero-4 field is included in the general permitting process of the Stage 3 of the Santos Basin Pre-Salt; the related Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Report and Non-Technical Executive Summary (NTS) report are available in Portuguese at the following links:
