Archimede Guarantee – Inbound FDI
SACE's solution to attract foreign investment in Italy's strategic sectors. Through the Archimede Guarantee, SACE provides a financial guarantee covering up to 70% of medium/long-term financing granted to foreign-controlled companies investing in Italy, supporting large-scale projects in the digital and energy transition with tenors of up to 25 years.
Who is it for
- Italian operating companies and project SPVs (based in Italy) controlled by a foreign entity, including Italian subsidiaries of foreign groups
- The “non-SME” requirement may also be assessed at group level, in line with EU Recommendation 2003/361/EC
- Investors in strategic sectors:
- Technology infrastructure — data centers, cloud and digital platforms, high-capacity telco networks
- Energy transition investments — energy storage systems, photovoltaic parks and energy efficiency projects
