Environmental and Social Impact Assessment availability for the High Speed Rail Blue and Red Line Project

SACE has received a preliminary request for insurance coverage for the “High-Speed Rail – Blue and Red Line” project, which involves the construction of two high-speed railway lines with a total length of approximately 1,240 km:

• Blue Line: from Cairo to Aswan (approximately 1,060 km)
• Red Line: from Luxor to Safaga (approximately 80 km)

SACE is carrying on the environmental and social review of this project on the basis of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) provided by the project proponent.
