Environmental and Social Impact Assessment availability for Mexinol Project

SACE is assessing the Mexinol Project, consisting in the development of a greenfield ultra-low carbon methanol production facility to be located in proximity of Topolobampo, Sinaloa, Mexico. The Project will have a production capacity of 6,130 metric tons of methanol per day, which will be transferred via dedicated pipeline to an existing berth in the Port of Topolobampo for export. Specifically, the Project will produce approximately 350,000 tons of green methanol per year (from captured carbon and green hydrogen) and 1.8 million tons of blue methanol per year (from natural gas, using AdWinMethanol Zero® carbon capture technology).

SACE is conducting the environmental and social review of this Project on the basis of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) prepared for the Project and available on the Mexinol Project website at the following link: Updates & Info | Pacifico Mexinol.
