Environmental and Social Impact Assessment availability for the Rovuma LNG-Project

SACE is evaluating the opportunity to provide insurance support for a transaction related to the Rovuma LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Project, concerning the development of a natural gas liquefaction plant, storage facilities and a marine terminal for LNG loading onto vessels in northern Mozambique.

SACE's environmental and social review of the Project is currently underway based on the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) provided by the applicant. The publication of such documentation does not imply any comment on, nor constitute any express or implied approval of, the Project by SACE.

With reference to the disclosure already published in 2019 (available here), the transaction currently under evaluation by SACE relates to an updated project scope and a different project perimeter, limited to the midstream components of the Rovuma LNG Project.
