In 2006 SACE measured the environmental impact of its business and the activities of its staff. The items measured included consumption of paper and electricity and the CO2 emissions attributable to its operations.

 
As a result of this activity it was decided in 2007 to launch a project called “SACE and the Environment”, a series of initiatives designed to promote energy-saving and environment-protection awareness in its staff, with a view to achieving greater efficiency in the use of energy and other resources.
