The Environmental Disclosure Policy applies to all transactions under the scope of the OECD Recommendation and provides for the publication of environmental information prior (ex-ante) and after (ex-post) the issue of a guarantee, as follows:
a) disclosure ex ante: publication of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of Category A transactions 30 days before SACE’s final decision of guarantee. The consent of the publication is generally provided by the exporter with the submission of the request of guarantee. If the EIA includes confidential or reserved information about the project (as for example for safety reasons) the publication of a summary can be considered. The list of disclosed EIAs, in a chronological order, is available under the section "Environment News".
b) disclosure ex-post: after the decision of guarantee, publication of the following information about Category A and B transactions: project description, environmental category, country, industry sector, amount (upon applicant’s consent) and environmental standards adopted.
