We carry out the environmental assessment review for all transactions whose repayment terms are equal or higher than 24 months, according to the Environmental Procedure in order to classify the transaction in one of the three Categories of potential impact.

The Procedure includes some instruments designed to ask for environmental information needed to carry out the review:

• Screening Questionnaire: is attached to the application form for the preliminary classification of the transaction. In case of exportation of stand alone machinery or production line, Section C) has to be filled in with the information related to the project where the machinery or the production line will be located. 

• Environmental Audit Questionnaire: following the preliminary screening, this can be requested in order to obtain further clarification or technical information. Section D) of the Questionnaire requires 6 Annexes to be filled in, if you believe to answer “NO” or “NOT APPLICABLE” to one Annex, please specify why. In the Annexes related to Air and Water, polluttants concentration emitted into the environment must be indicated. In the Annex related to Noise, provided values must be referred to the plants boundary. 

• Index of Reference for EIA: this index lists the aspects to be detailed in the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) required for highly sensitive sectors and areas. It is particulary significant that the EIA include Environmental Management Plan, or Mitigation and Monitoring Measures Plan. Additional information such as studies, plans and testing, might be required. Any further environmental documentation or information you may provide will be greatly appreciated.
